We are raising money to send to the Hullahoop in Haiti school to provide them with tablets. This initiative aims to help students continue their education through Zoom, as the current situation in the country prevents them from attending school in person. By equipping them with tablets, we can ensure that these children have the resources they need to keep learning despite the challenges they face. Our community's support is crucial in making this possible and ensuring that education remains accessible to all students in Haiti.

We raised money through a bake sale and donated the proceeds to a local church in Puerto Rico to help kids. Our bake sale featured a variety of delicious homemade treats, and the community came together to support the cause. The funds we raised went directly to providing essential resources and support for children in need, helping to create a brighter future for them. This initiative showcased the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together for a common cause.

Shared festive spirit with the homeless on the street by handing handwritten cards and homemade cookies, bringing warmth and cheer. This tradition allowed us to connect with our community on a personal level, spreading holiday joy to those who might not have the means to celebrate. The homemade cookies added a special touch, showing that even small gestures can make a big difference in someone's day.

Celebrated the official launch of the MAD Girls organization, inviting everyone to join the festivities and support our mission. The event marked the beginning of our journey to make a positive impact in our community through various initiatives. It was an opportunity to share our vision, connect with supporters, and rally together to make a difference. The launch party set the tone for the exciting work ahead and the collective effort needed to achieve our goals.

The MAD Girl team focused on overcoming poverty and empowering young women through education. They listened to insights from Ambassador Boštjan Malovrh and Elisa Gazzotti of the HRE TT, who also coordinates Human Rights Education at SGI Office for UN Affairs. Ivy Koek, representing SGI at the UN, spoke on gender equality and women's empowerment. Ute, a Zonta member, shared her extensive organizational experience. The team was moved by a personal story from a child marriage survivor. The event reinforced the importance of MAD Girls' mission and the change they aim to create.
